I need to straighten out my priorities

I need to be doing all my workouts. I need to be finishing up my summer reading. I finally just forced myself to handle the dirty dishes in the kitchen. I need to clean my room..

I'm having a problem doing all these things because I just got a new (beautiful, fast, holy) laptop that I can't keep my fingers off. This needs to stop. But I doubt it really will..

My mom just bought the 15th anniversary InStyle special magazine. My eyes lit up as soon as I saw it. (Fashion/clothes/shopping is a very bad addiction I have aqquired this summer. On the other hand it keeps my mind off other things.

Anywayyyys what's going on in your world guys/gals?

Cold Mountain.. yeah its chilly

At the end of my sophomore year, I couldn't WAIT for summer to come. That was until we were all told that we HAD to do summer reading this year and they were cracking down on us. We had to read Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier. (Which by the way I have not finished yet and school starts in 3 days =/)

Having seen the movie though, I was kind of excited to read the book. With only 2 more chapters to go, I am so grateful that I found the book interesting. It's set back in the civil war era but its doesn't have that nx war talk all the time which makes most girls my age fall asleep.

All in all, if you liked the movie, you'll love the book. So check it out!

Quick summary: A deserter from the Confederate army,Inman travels for months to return home to be with his sweetheart, Ada.

That thing we thought was just a little cold, maybe a throat infection. But it couldnt be cancer, but it was.

Turn away,
If you could get me a drink
Of water 'cause my lips are chapped and faded
Call my aunt Marie
Help her gather all my things
And bury me in all my favorite colors,
My sisters and my brothers, still,
I will not kiss you,
'Cause the hardest part of this is leaving you.

Now turn away,
'Cause I'm awful just to see
'Cause all my hairs abandoned all my body,
Oh, my agony,
Know that I will never marry,
Baby, I'm just soggy from the chemo
But counting down the days to go
It just ain't living
And I just hope you know

That if you say (if you say)
Goodbye today (goodbye today)
I'd ask you to be true (cause I'd ask you to be true)

'Cause the hardest part of this is leaving you
'Cause the hardest part of this is leaving you

-My Chemical Romance

If there is a god out there, don't let this happen again. Please help him so we don't have to deal with another loss.

June 24, 2008

Things keep going on and coming up.

For summer reading for 10th grade English honors im going to read One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest and The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter << doesn’t seem to entertaining but it is great literature.

Getting Nintendo DS Lite for my birthday in August, I picked the color out, 2 games, and a case for it a few days ago.

I’m finally getting back into my reading habit where I finish a novel within a few days and beg my mom to take me back to the library for another one. Any book suggestions?

School starts August 18th. I got a little while to go. I really dread going back to that school.

Please AGAIN: give me some book suggestions to read, I’m almost finished with a book.

And my dad starts kemo and radiation for his cancer this week. He has cancer of the throat. =/

May 22, 2008

Sadly our school has lost two students… again.

Earlier in the year, we had two girls who died in a car accident going home from school. And a few months ago my mom lost a very close friend who meant a lot to her, my sister, and I. Last Saturday night or early Sunday morning around 1 or 2 AM, we lost Alexander Coppock and Richard Jaggers. I didn’t know them personally but they were two people I saw regularly in the halls everyday and I have talked to Alex before. Alex was such a sweet person and so smart, he gave everyone hugs, never judged, and was always nice to everyone no matter what. I don’t know much about Richard, though I know he has a lot of friends here missing him. They would be graduating June 5th and Alex had scholarship. My heart goes out to their families and close friends, mine especially goes out to Alex’s younger sister, Melody and his parents. We dearly miss them and may they rest in peace.

I love you all. Please, please stay safe, watch the roads closely, wear seatbelts, and don’t ever take anyone for granted.

My Honda Civic Tour 08 Concert Recap

Alrighty so it’s 2 days (already!?) after the tour date that I attended so I’m just going to dive into the details now.

My mom and sister took Lacey and I to the show where we ran up to Panic’s tour bus and touched it. My sister did the “along the same lines” by humping it. We then met up with Morgan and her friend Maria. After we met up with them, the line seemed to go faster. There was a few people with cameras taking photos of people before the show. Afterwards you could buy the pictures that you took with your friends. I found it incredibly annoying to bombard us with cameras in our faces like we were some kind of celebrity. Once we got to the spot where they check you for weapons and other harmful devices, we hear that we are allowed to have cameras. Which completely pissed me off considering the last time we where there, we weren’t allowed to have them. And of course they change up the rules for my favorite band… grr.

After we got in, we found a few places to stand that might be a good spot to see the show. But then Morgan found an even better spot where a few girls were standing. We started talking to the other girls and it became kind of a group to hold our spots for everyone. Finally, after waiting forever, Phantom Planet came on. They were amazing, I love their energy! Alex (lead singer) crowd surfed a few times, one time in which he crowd surfed to get to the signing table. The last song they performed was of course “California” Before the played it Alex stated “We cant stress this enough: Yes, we wrote this song.” Lacey and I met Alex and I got my ticket signed by him. Lacey got her shirt that she bought signed and got a hug from him.

Then later on, The Hush Sound performed. They sounded so good and played great, but they didn’t talk much or do anything exciting so I can’t say too much about their performance. It was just strictly music for them. In the middle of their set, Brendon came on stage and sang with them. He’s looking a little skinny now and doesn’t have much of a bubble butt anymore haha. After they performed, Morgan went and got her tee shirt signed by them.

Motion City Soundtrack performed after them. They are really talkative and fun with the crowd. The keyboarder was kind of fun to watch because he had a “hardcore” haircut and head banged to the music. Which isn’t very “headbangable” During their set, a crowd surfer fell out of the “trustworthy” hands of the crowd and hit the floor. As the person plummeted to the ground, all you could hear was “OOOOO” from the crowd and all of them backed up at the same time. While this occurred, MCS all stopped playing at the same exact time and Justin took over. He said “Alright everyone back up and make some room, including all of you in the back.” referring to the huge group of us on the stairs. After they helped the person up and everyone was fine, they started up again somewhere in the middle of the song. After they finished the song, Justin admitted that he started off on the wrong note. He told us to tell him “You fucked up Justin, good job fucking it up Justin, thanks for fucking it up.” So repeated it back to him and all had a good laugh.

It felt like forever to get to this point, finally it was Panic At The Disco’s turn to perform. Before they performed, their bodyguard Zach kept coming on stage with a flashlight to check the floor for any objects that could harm the golden boys. Finally they got everything set up including three microphones that were decorated in fake flowers for Ryan, Brendon, and Jon. Spencer’s drum set was set up on the side rather than in the back and he had a microphone himself. The crew then pulled back a sheet that was covering a huge tv monitor which later on played random clips while the boys performed. A few minutes after they pulled the sheet down, Panic walked on stage. First Ryan, Brendon then Spencer and Jon to follow. They opened up with We’re So Starving then Nine In The Afternoon. They played the songs from AFYCSO in the new style that sounds like Pretty. Odd. which sounded great. When they played “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” Ryan said something along the lines of the song being old and not fun to play anymore and “it’s just one of those songs.” And the rest of them made eye contact to basically say “cant stand this song anymore” haha Ryan didn’t talk much but Jon was very chatty with the crowd. At one point, Jon started talking about how a big flower clip that was playing behind them on the screen was “very calm and serene.” Then he said “I big bee should just fly in and land on it to make it perfect.” Brendon replied with “Wow Jon, you got some deep thoughts there.” Brendon messed a guitar up and tried pulling it off by going near Spencer and pretended like he was still playing. But then a crew member came out with a guitar for him and blew his cover. Then Brendon’s mic didn’t work so Spencer started talking. “Brendon is having difficulties tonight (referring to the guitar and mic incidents) so it’s a good think that I decided to have a mic with me on this tour for when things like this happen.” Later on Brendon started talking about ninja turtles haha During the middle of their set, all of them left the stage but Brendon returned by himself to play Folkin’ Around. He then asked the lights crew “Can you please make it lighter in here.” So they turned the stage lights to the crowd. “Alright that’s good, now I can see all your faces.” he said smiling and the crowed cheered. When they all returned to the stage Ryan asked, “Is there anyone single out there.” So basically everyone cheered. Then he said, “Well this is the song for you then. It’s called Lying.” (and that’s all you could here because the crowd went crazy) Their goodbye was bittersweet, nice but way to quick. Ryan said “Thank you so much, we love you.” And they all waved and walked off stage. Jon proceeded to stand their and talk into his mic, but it wasn’t working. So he made a hand gesture to say “forget it” then waved to the crowed and ran off stage.

Afterwards, Lacey bought The Hush Sound’s new cd and I bought a Hush Sound bag which is freakin amazing and I love it. Then I watched some drunk girl from the show fall and hit her head. There was two guys with her and she turned to one and said “Charlieee I fell and hit my head reallll bad.” in like 10 different accents. I thought it was pretty funny so I had to put that in. To everyone making it out to the Honda Civic Tour this year: Have loads of fun and be very safe!

Honda Civic Tour 08- tomorrow!

At the Orlando House of Blues tomorrow night I will be seeing Panic At The Disco.

And The Hush Sound, Phantom Planet, and Motion City Soundtrack- Love em all=]

I’m going to wear my infamous peace sign pants (you can see them in my photo section) and my black & white Marshall Amplification shirt, and Nollie flip flops. Lacey is going to wear a tank top, plaid shorts, and flip flops. So we might stand out a little. And get an incredible amount of hatred stares from the kids who are still in the scene trend. Because you cant be a diehard fan of a band unless your scene, right everybody? Anyway, if anyone is going to the Orlando show tomorrow night please leave a comment below and we might just see each other at the show =]

Who else is making it to the Honda Civic Tour this year? Comment below.

I mean..

I don’t even know what we are anymore, If we were anything I mean. We use to talk all the time, now we barely talk. It’s seems like you don’t like me, like you avoid me at all costs. Maybe because I’m not mature or intelligent enough for you or basically just too young? And you’ve realized I’m not anything fascinating? You’ve found new people who are way more interesting then me and are more like you I guess, and I understand. It’s awkward, I mean if I was to talk to you right now, I wouldn’t have anything to say because I don’t know anything about you anymore. And I should just get over it. And find some new people to talk to. Which I pretty much have already. I’m not good at making new friends, that’s why it’s taken me so long to find those friends, the ones who actually want to talk to me I mean.

my Italy trip

Well it really wasn’t that great of a trip. My grandma drove my mom and I crazy. Lets just leave that subject alone cause if I go into to much detail about my grandma I will get all angry again. So anyways, don’t EVER take a Trafalgar travel tour, don’t EVER. If you don’t buy an optional excursion like going to the Leaning Tower of Pisa AKA Leaning Tower of Pizza to my grandma, they’ll leave you in the cold in whatever city your in for SEVEN hours. No fun. Believe me. SOME (NOT ALL) people who live in Italy are mean. We got yelled at in Italian like four times. It was basically a pretty bad trip. I don’t ever want to leave America again. Ever. I didn’t like our tour group either. The people were so boring. And these three girls… I could just strangle. I didn’t like them. Obviously. But I can say that I met people from England, Italy (of course), Australia, and South Africa. There was a few people on the tour that were alright. BUT the guys in Italy…. Whoo damn “I’ll teach you how to speak English boy! Better yet how about you teach me Italian ;] lmao haha. I got a lot of great pictures though. But they’re all on my grandma’s camera in West Palm Beach because my camera sucks at taking pics and my sister’s camera that we borrowed wouldn’t charge.

There was a lot of different things in Italy then America like: the electricity in almost every hotel in Italy was different then the previous hotel we stayed in, same with the plumbing ( a few times I couldn’t even find the flusher, I even looked on the ceiling once and when me and my mom went to the bathroom in Verona it was a freaking hole in the ground lined with porcelain! “Arianne did you use the hole!!?” “Oh hell no!” lmao The heat and air conditioning was different too and so was: the cars and transportation, streets, the 6 hour time difference from where I live, Euros are worth more of there because America’s economy pretty much sucks now, and the high altitude was different for me too.

Speaking of altitude, I get altitude sickness. Remember I live in Florida, I’m at sea level. My ears popped like all the time, I got queasy, and my head hurt a lot. We got ripped off big time once. A street vender in Rome made us pay 32 Euros for a hot dog and two slices of pizza. That’s like 50 dollars in America haha oh well. I saw snow! It was on the Apennine mountains and in The Tuscan Hills as we passed them. It was so cool because people built little cottage styled homes on the mountains it was like looking at a painting, so amazing. I took a gondola ride with my mom (my grandma didn’t go on it! Thank god! It was fun being without her!) in Venice.

The cities I went to were: Rome, Assisi, San Marino<3, Firenze, Verona, and Venice. San Marino was AMAZING! It’s basically it’s own republic, though it’s in Italy, and its on a big mountain. Your basically as high as the clouds but it was really hazy and foggy so we couldn’t see anything. It felt like you were in a Harry Potter movie too. It was just great. Especially the guy in the restaurant we went too ;]

The hotels we stayed at were The Carlo Mangno (hot guy worked there! Haha) San Giuliano (my mom referred to it as “Faulty Towers” lmao you would have to watch that English comedy show to understand the joke in it) Relais Certosa pretty nice hotel, and then some other hotel that I forgot the name of.

Plane flights:

West Palm Beach to Atlanta- one hour and thirty minutes. Plane flight from Atlanta to Rome- 9 hours and 30 minutes with a lady’s seat practically in my mom’s lap then she asked my mom to stop kicking her seat and my mom just basically went ballistic on her. They had some pretty good food haha.

Going home: Rome to Atlanta- 11 hours and 30 minutes then from Atlanta to West Palm Beach 1 hour and 20 minutes. Then my mom and I stayed a night at my grandmas then left early the next day in the car singing to AMERICAN Girl by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers talking about how glad we were back in the states and got home by 12 afternoon.

It wasn’t the greatest trip and my grandma and her bag lady suitcase made me and my mom angry and gave the Italians a real good laugh, but I sure did see a lot and realize just how much people mean to me and how much I love my home and family and friends. And of course my wonderful Buzznet friends! I missed you dearly, seriously all of you I missed.

Love, Arianne

Boy do we got some big egos up in this school.

Few words of advice.

1. I most likely cant stand you, let alone “obsess” over you.

2. I mainly only care to associate with my group of friends, which is only about 5 of us, or people who give me respect in which I return the favor.

3.Get over yourself.

Cause if you think everyone is caring about your opinions they most likely aren’t cause they have lives of their own.

That’s not directed to anyone in general just a lot of people at my school who needed to hear this

Our faces are lies and our necks are the truth-Nora Ephron

It’s amazing what people will do for attention. How badly they want it and how much they strive for it is unbelievable. They’re so wrapped up in this idea of getting sympathy and consideration from people who don’t even care about them or their life, that they don’t even have time to get a life or find themselves. Everyone is an individual. I don’t mean whether they follow trends or just a complete follower period, but I mean as a whole, they are one person. Everyone is put on earth to live their life, and no one else’s. So don’t get disappointed when no ones is worrying about your life and how you feel. They’re to busy living theirs. So stop this middle school and high school “oh im so depressed, look at me, give me the sympathy I crave” bullshit because guess what? Nobody cares. And five years down the road, guess what? They’re still not going to care. They wont even know you anymore, let alone probably even remember who you are. So why strive for their attention when you know that they wont really matter to you in the future and you wont matter to them either? And stop being afraid of what they think. Don’t spend your middle school and high school years trying to get people to notice you. Cause I highly doubt the ones that you really want to be your friend, will understand you at all.

Take this quote in consideration if you haven’t heard of it before. It’s a pretty common quote, but it sure has opened my mind.

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”-Dr. Seuss
